Venxo Support
Venxo connects two trusted Chrome browsers through an invitation-based room and synchronizes supported navigation, page actions, and HTML5 video state. It is an early-access product and does not work with every site or player.

Install Venxo
Venxo is coming to Chrome Web Store. Once published, install it only from the official listing linked on venxo.app. Do not install ZIP files or unpacked builds from unknown sources.
Create and join a room
- Install Venxo in two Chrome profiles or two trusted browsers.
- Open the popup in both browsers and wait until each shows Online.
- Copy the second browser’s browser code.
- In the first browser, open the page to share and choose Create session.
- Enter the second browser code and choose Invite browser.
- Accept the invitation in the second browser.
- The Host shares its selected tab; the Guest opens the shared site.
- The Host starts live sync. Use Stop Sync or Leave Room when finished.
Autoplay permission
Chrome or a website may block playback that was not initiated by a local click. If the Guest sees “Playback needs a click,” open the Venxo popup in the Guest browser and choose Start video. Venxo does not bypass browser autoplay policy.
Supported and unsupported scenarios
Venxo targets normal HTTP/HTTPS pages and standard HTML5
<video> elements. It can observe eligible videos in
permitted cross-origin frames because its content script runs in all
matching frames. Compatibility is not guaranteed for custom
canvas-based players, DRM-protected playback, inaccessible frames,
pages that continuously rebuild controls, browser-internal pages, or
sites that prohibit the required behavior.
Troubleshooting
Extension shows Offline
Confirm that the browser has internet access and that
api.venxo.app is reachable. Venxo reconnects
automatically. Security software, a proxy, DNS filtering, or a network
that blocks WebSockets can prevent connection.
Guest cannot start playback
Use Start video in the Guest popup. Also confirm that the Guest can independently play the same content and that the site has not blocked autoplay or required a local login/consent action.
Video was not detected
Venxo detects standard HTML5 video elements only. Wait for the player to load, verify both browsers opened the same media, and restart live sync. A custom, DRM, canvas, or inaccessible iframe player may not be supported.
Playback is out of sync
Pause and play once from the Host, or seek from the Host to establish a new authoritative state. Network buffering can delay correction. Leaving and creating a new room resets the media synchronization revision.
A popup opened
Venxo keeps the session attached to the original Host and Guest tabs. A popup opened by a site should remain unrelated and should not replace the Guest page. Close unwanted popups using normal browser controls.
How do I leave or end a session?
Choose Stop Sync to pause action transmission or Leave Room to remove the browser from the room. The last participant leaving removes the room from server memory.
How do I remove locally stored Venxo data?
Remove the extension through Chrome’s extension management page to delete its local storage. Advanced users can also clear the extension’s site data from Chrome. This resets the browser code and display name.
How do I report a bug?
Send the extension version, Chrome version, the affected site origin (do not send private query parameters), Host/Guest role, and steps to reproduce to support@venxo.app. Never include passwords, room codes, cookies, tokens, or private URLs.
